Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid LSSP license required
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist within a school setting is highly valued
- Expertise in administering and interpreting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education eligibility criteria and best practices
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines with professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for elementary students, primarily focusing on evaluation for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to interpret assessment results and recommend appropriate interventions
- Participate actively in eligibility meetings and develop recommendations to support academic, behavioral, and emotional development
- Provide high-quality written reports, keeping accurate and timely documentation
- Facilitate and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Remain current with state and federal laws related to school psychology and special education
