Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
- Experience conducting psycho-educational evaluations, developing IEPs, and supporting Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Strong understanding of compliance with state and federal educational regulations
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Previous experience facilitating or running Child Find teams highly preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the leader for the child find team, coordinating timely assessment and identification of students in need of specialized services
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results for parents and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop effective intervention plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide expert recommendations for educational programming
- Maintain accurate and confidential records and documentation per district and state protocols
- Contribute to a positive and supportive school climate, advocating for the needs of all learners
- Ensure appropriate communication and coordination regarding student evaluations
