- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to support, educate, and advocate for families and students from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the child find team, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations for identifying students in need of special services
- Conduct thorough evaluations, interpret results, and collaborate with educational staff and families to develop intervention strategies and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct support and counseling to students, fostering well-being and resilience
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on best practices in behavior management and academic interventions
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as outlined by district and regulatory standards
- Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights to optimize each child’s educational experience
- Coordinate communication and ensure that updates are shared appropriately
