Your experience and skills will include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students across all grade levels.
- Determining special education service eligibility with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Participating as an active Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) member.
- Supporting IEP development through clear interpretation of testing data and student recommendations.
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and families to support individualized student needs.
- Consulting on learning differences, behavioral challenges, crisis intervention, and academic planning.
- Working hand-in-hand with external agencies, healthcare providers, and parent organizations to promote student well-being.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Engaging in professional development, meetings, and ongoing growth opportunities as required by the district.
To thrive in this position, you should have:
- A Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- A valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate (or eligibility to obtain).
- Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement (or the ability to earn this through reciprocity).
- In-depth knowledge of IDEA regulations, special education criteria, and IEP protocols.
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and preparing comprehensive reports.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with a range of professionals and families.
