Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral assessments for K-12 students, delivering written reports within designated timelines
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and administrators to develop and implement best practices for student support
- Clearly communicate evaluation findings and recommendations to teachers, staff, and parents
- Refer students and families to appropriate community resources as needed
- Participate in in-service training and help educate school personnel regarding the assessment process and student needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure accountability and continuity of services
- Interpret test results and contribute to the formation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Uphold IDEA compliance and special education eligibility standards
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana DOE School Psychology certification required
- Experience interpreting assessment data and composing comprehensive evaluation reports
- Knowledge of special education eligibility and multidisciplinary team processes
- Strong organizational skills and a track record of meeting evaluation deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
