Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active School Psychologist certification/license (state requirements must be met)
- Experience in assessment, intervention, and counseling in a K-12 school environment preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a passion for student advocacy
- Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating on intervention strategies
- Organization and time management skills to efficiently balance caseload responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and report findings to support individualized education planning
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students as needed
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that enhance student well-being and academic performance
- Support positive behavioral interventions and maintain data on student progress
- Participate in school-based meetings, contributing expertise to help ensure equitable access to education for all students
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current on best practices in school psychology
