School Psychologist (Hybrid Eligible)

Location: Stafford, Virginia
Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 26, 2027

Join a collaborative school district in Stafford, Virginia, located just 45 minutes south of Washington, D.C., as a full-time School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers a balanced caseload, a supportive multidisciplinary team, and the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Position Details
Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 26, 2027
Schedule: Full-time
Hybrid Option: Up to 1 remote day per week (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
School Sites: 2 schools
1 Elementary School
1 Middle School
Caseload Area: Northern Stafford County
Position Responsibilities

The primary focus of this role includes:

Conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments.
Providing consultation with educators, administrators, and families to support student success.
Supporting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Assisting with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) initiatives as needed.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective interventions and recommendations.
Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Additional responsibilities may include supporting school social workers with counseling services on an occasional basis, though counseling is not a primary function of this position.

Educational Diagnosticians are assigned to every building, so academic achievement testing is not part of this role.
Focus your expertise on psychological assessments, consultation, and behavioral supports.
Serve just two school sites, providing consistency and the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and staff.

Qualifications
Valid Virginia School Psychologist license (or eligibility for licensure).
Experience with psychoeducational evaluations, behavioral assessments, and consultation is preferred.
Knowledge of FBA/BIP development and MTSS frameworks.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
