This full-time contract position enables you to make an immediate difference in the lives of children and adolescents, working directly within a supportive educational community. Providers currently deliver services virtually—this on-site role offers potential for flexible assignments throughout the academic year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia Department of Education (DOE) licensure required
- Current Psychologist license in the state of Virginia
- Previous experience with school-based psychological services preferred
- Solid understanding of assessment, intervention, and counseling within K-12 settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Committed to an on-site role—virtual or hybrid models are not available for this assignment
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
- Serve students across age ranges in a supportive educational setting
- Provide psychoeducational assessments and counseling to support learning and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement student support plans
- Consult on strategies for academic and behavioral challenges
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in eligibility and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Number of schools and exact caseload to be determined in alignment with district needs
