Step into a dynamic contracted position supporting students in the Virginia Beach area as a School Psychologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time opportunity will have you working on-site, collaborating closely with educators, families, and students to provide impactful psychological services within a supportive educational setting.
Your responsibilities in this role include:
- Conducting assessments to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs
- Delivering direct counseling and intervention services to students across various age groups (specifics to be determined)
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to develop and implement appropriate support plans
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Supporting multi-tiered systems of support and crisis intervention as needed
Desired qualifications:
- Active Virginia Department of Education Licensure for School Psychologists
- Active Psychologist license required
- Previous experience in school-based settings is ideal
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing in-person services exclusively (this is not a virtual or hybrid position)
- Flexibility, as school assignments and caseloads are to be determined
Enjoy working a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, during the full 2026-2027 academic year. While most providers in the district are currently virtual, this unique on-site position may offer some flexibility within the assignment itself.
Interested candidates will have access to interviews on Thursday, June 25 (anytime 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM), Wednesday, July 1 at 1:00 PM, or Monday, July 13 (anytime 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM).
