Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Michigan School Psychologist Certificate required
- Knowledge of assessment tools for attention, adaptive skills, behavioral support, and autism
- Experience with cognitive and developmental assessments
- Strong communication skills for collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to lead meetings and guide evaluation processes
- Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
- Comfortable participating in Functional Behavioral Assessments and developing Positive Behavior Support Plans
Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs in academic, adaptive, and social-emotional areas
- Collaborate with other evaluation team members during both initial and re-evaluation processes
- Conduct cognitive and developmental testing for new referrals and reassessments
- Consult with MTSS teams, assisting in the identification and referral process for students who may require special education services
- Attend and contribute to meetings for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Positive Behavior Support Plans
- Lead initial evaluation and some re-evaluation meetings, ensuring a smooth process for all involved
- Participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews as a key team contributor
