Qualifications
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
- Knowledge of special education eligibility determination
- Strong understanding of:
- Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
- Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
- Positive behavioral supports and intervention strategies
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments.
- Prepare timely, accurate evaluation reports and documentation.
- Determine student eligibility for special education services in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate as an active member of IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to develop effective supports for students.
- Assist in developing behavioral interventions and recommendations to promote student success.
- Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth through data-driven decision-making.
