School Psychologist | Woodbridge, Virginia
Step into a dynamic school-based environment providing psychological services to students in the vibrant Washington DC metro area, just 45 minutes south of the city. This contract opportunity runs from early August 2026 through May 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work primarily at one elementary and one middle school, engaging with students and staff on a range of assessment and consultation responsibilities.
In this role, your expertise will support the development of Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, as well as occasional Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. While your main focus will be assessment and consultation, you may periodically collaborate with social workers to provide counseling support. Every building is equipped with educational diagnosticians, so academic achievement testing is not required.
The district values flexibility, offering the possibility of a hybrid schedule—4 days onsite and 1 day remote weekly—after meeting initial onsite needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia DOE Certification
- Active Virginia Psychologist Licensure
- Experience in school-based psychological services
- Strong assessment and consultation skills, especially with diverse student populations
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in supporting FBA/BIP initiatives and MTSS processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational assessments and provide consultative recommendations
- Support the development and implementation of behavioral plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in MTSS meetings as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Occasionally assist social workers with counseling interventions

- TB test required as part of onboarding
