Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative School Psychologist to support students, families, and school teams in Michigan. This opportunity is open to candidates who are eligible to work as a Limited License School Psychologist in Michigan.
The School Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students’ academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a school psychologist seeking to build professional experience while working within the requirements of Michigan limited licensure.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational assessments and assist with evaluations and reevaluations.
Participate in eligibility determinations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Interpret assessment results and provide clear recommendations to school teams and families.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and related service providers.
Support the development of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
Maintain accurate documentation, evaluation reports, and student records.
Follow district procedures as well as applicable state and federal special education requirements.
Qualifications
Graduate-level preparation in school psychology from an appropriate school psychology program.
Eligible for or currently holding a Michigan Limited License as a School Psychologist.
Ability to practice in accordance with Michigan requirements applicable to limited-license school psychologists, including required supervision.
Knowledge of psychoeducational assessment, special education eligibility, IEP processes, and school-based interventions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
Candidates who are completing the requirements necessary to obtain their Michigan limited license are encouraged to apply, provided they can obtain the required authorization before beginning services.
