Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification (fully approved or temporary)
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations according to MARSE and IDEA guidelines
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized tests and assessments
- Strong report writing abilities, with attention to clarity and compliance
- Knowledge of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)
- Familiarity with developing IEP goals, accommodations, and behavioral support plans
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to determine student eligibility for services
- Consult with educators and families, interpreting assessment data and providing actionable recommendations
- Develop and deliver clear, timely evaluation reports that meet all regulatory requirements
- Assist in creating and implementing IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and accommodations
- Contribute to data-based decision making and support implementation of MTSS and PBIS frameworks
- Provide direct psychological services and interventions to students, responding to their unique emotional and behavioral needs
