Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Prior experience in a school setting
- Strong skills in assessment, written and oral communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency with technology relevant to student documentation and reporting
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and remain calm in crisis situations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling services in alignment with IEP mental health goals
- Develop and implement interventions (academic, emotional, behavioral, and mental health) at the individual, group, or system level
- Conduct comprehensive assessments: cognitive, socio-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive
- Write evaluation reports, maintain service documentation, and monitor progress toward IEP goals
- Engage in crisis management, including risk and threat assessments, and provide real-time crisis support
- Participate in collaborative meetings including IEP planning, manifestation reviews, and professional learning communities
- Consult with families, school staff, and outside agencies, and provide psychoeducation and wellness visits as needed
- Support students under 504 plans and general education settings with behavioral and social skills interventions
- Assist in coordinating community resources for families
