Contract opportunities are available to provide essential leave coverage across several campuses, focusing on the school-aged population in both middle school and elementary settings. These positions offer the chance to support special education students through a holistic approach—delivering individual and group counseling, leading crisis interventions, and collaborating on vital IEP and MTSS teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct mental health services in compliance with IEP goals, including both individual and group counseling
- Designing and implementing interventions to address social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs for enhanced educational outcomes
- Providing written documentation such as service logs, progress reports, and evaluation summaries
- Conducting cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive assessments; writing detailed evaluation reports
- Leading and supporting crisis management: suicide risk assessments, threat assessments, development of safety plans, and classroom support
- Engaging in collaborative meetings and multidisciplinary teams including IEP planning, behavioral health, and professional development
- Consulting with families, outside service providers, and community agencies
- Offering academic and behavioral consultations for general education and 504 plan students, along with psychoeducational workshops
What you bring:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License with a School Psychology endorsement
- Direct previous experience in school settings
- Proficiency with student assessments, data management, and evaluation report writing
- Strong communication, crisis management, and collaborative teaming skills
- Calm approach and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Comfort with technology and student information systems
- Willingness to complete district background check and fingerprinting
