Support the growth and well-being of students in a dynamic, collaborative school setting by providing essential psychological services within the Promising Students Program. This contract opportunity focuses on offering trauma-informed, comprehensive behavioral and mental health care for students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs. By using early intervention, data-informed strategies, and a collaborative approach, you will help empower students to navigate challenges and reach their full academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and small group counseling using trauma-informed practices
- Conduct psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations to inform intervention planning
- Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify student needs and strengths
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Collaborate as part of the MTSS framework to support student growth and progress
- Consult regularly with teachers, families, and related service staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Participate actively in IEP and Section 504 meetings, contributing your expertise to student plans
- Provide crisis response and safety planning when needed
- Help develop transition strategies to facilitate successful reintegration into home schools
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license required
- Strong background in behavioral intervention, counseling, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducational evaluation
- Experience working in school or educational settings with students presenting intensive behavioral needs is highly preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
- Commitment to creating inclusive, positive, and supportive environments for all students
