Your expertise in behavioral health and counseling will be vital in providing trauma-informed mental health services for students facing significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
As a key resource for the program, you'll collaborate with educators and families to reduce barriers to learning and foster students’ growth in emotional regulation, problem-solving, and positive relationships. Using early intervention and data-driven approaches, you’ll help guide students toward academic and personal success.
Key qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license (state-specific)
- Experience in school-based counseling and behavioral intervention
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and social-emotional supports
- Knowledge of conducting psychoeducational assessments and FBAs
- Background collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
What you'll do:
- Deliver both individual and small-group counseling sessions to address students’ needs
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and behavioral evaluations
- Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to guide action planning
- Develop and monitor effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Play a role in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) implementation
- Consult with teachers and families to support strategies for student growth
- Participate actively in IEP and Section 504 meetings
- Provide crisis response and safety planning as needed
- Create transition plans to ensure successful student reintegration into home schools
