Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credentials (state certification or eligibility required)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience performing psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling for students
- Strong consultative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in school communities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide short-term and crisis counseling, as well as skill-building interventions
- Consult with educators and administrators to support student learning and behavior
- Interpret assessment results and present findings at team meetings
- Promote safe, inclusive school climates through programming and training
- Serve as a resource for parents and caregivers regarding student needs
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation
