Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state-specific, or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience with psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and developing IEPs
- Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RTI), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and special education law (IDEA)
- Strong consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, administrators, and families
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to create, review, and monitor IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide direct counseling and mental health support for individual students and small groups
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to support classroom strategies and student progress
- Deliver staff and parent training on relevant topics, such as mental health awareness and behavioral techniques
- Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and postvention activities
- Maintain thorough records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
