Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (070) required
- Previous experience working with PreK-2nd grade students strongly preferred
- Expertise in assessing students presenting with social, emotional, or behavioral concerns
- Skilled in conducting comprehensive observations and psychoeducational assessments
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor therapeutic counseling plans for both individuals and groups
- Experience coordinating and facilitating PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
- Familiarity with the process for 504 meetings and accommodation plans
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely assessments and in-depth observations of students to identify their unique clinical and educational needs
- Provide direct counseling services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings, to support their social and emotional well-being
- Actively participate in the development and review of IEPs and 504 plans
- Coordinate all aspects of PPT meetings, ensuring compliance and collaboration among team members
- Serve as a valuable resource to teachers and families by offering professional insights and intervention recommendations
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
