School Psychologist - Dearborn, Michigan
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 academic year, located near Dearborn, MI. In this onsite role, you’ll serve 1–2 school buildings within an engaging and supportive district environment. With a focus on more than just evaluations, your expertise will drive not only the assessment process but also intervention planning, goal setting, and the enhancement of students’ mental wellness.
Key Qualifications:
- Michigan School Psychologist Certification (or willingness to quickly obtain Michigan licensure if relocating)
- Prior experience in school settings is preferred
- Proficient in assessment and intervention strategies for various grade levels
- Strong communication skills to foster collaboration with educators, administrators, students, and families
- A flexible, team-oriented approach and commitment to supporting whole-child wellbeing
Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological services across elementary and secondary campuses
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and generate actionable reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with school staff to design and implement interventions and preventive programs
- Support staff and family consultation regarding student needs and school-based mental health initiatives
- Assist with additional duties throughout the buildings, moving beyond traditional testing roles
This role offers a 37.5-hour work week, running from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Travel professionals will find a welcoming environment with a district eager to integrate broader psychological expertise into their student support framework.
