Job Description
A school district in Denver, Colorado is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students and focuses on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support academic achievement and social‑emotional development. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, behavioral, and social‑emotional functioning
Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, compliant written evaluation reports
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
Support the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Assist with MTSS, early intervention, and school‑based mental health initiatives as applicable
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Support a safe, inclusive, and student‑centered learning environment
Qualifications
Active Colorado Special Services Provider License with School Psychologist endorsement required
Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
Master’s degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or higher in School Psychology or a related field
Experience
Prior school‑based experience preferred
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and participating in special education processes preferred
New graduates with appropriate credentials and internship experience are encouraged to apply
Skills
Strong assessment, data interpretation, and report‑writing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Work Hours
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Approximately 37–40 hours per week
