This full-time contract position focuses on supporting K-5th grade students in a collaborative and rewarding school environment. You’ll work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess student needs and contribute your expertise to improve student outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and educational teams
- Ability to administer and interpret psychoeducational assessments
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support for students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges
- Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expert recommendations and progress updates
- Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship opportunities to enhance best practices and skillsets
