School Psychologist in Tinley Park, IL
Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ academic and emotional development as a full-time School Psychologist for PreK and elementary ages. This contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with children, families, and school staff to promote a positive educational experience for all students. Starting August 13th, you'll play a key part in shaping successful outcomes through expert evaluations, IEP participation, and targeted interventions.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with PreK and elementary student populations preferred
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, report writing, and facilitating IEP meetings
- Strong understanding of initial and triennial eligibility processes
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads and prioritize effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights for individualized plans
- Develop and interpret evaluation reports in collaboration with educators and families
- Serve as a resource to teachers, staff, and parents for behavior and learning concerns
- Support interventions, crisis response, and counseling as needed
- Ensure compliance with school, district, and state requirements regarding student services
