Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students as a dedicated professional providing school psychological services. This full-time, contract opportunity runs throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, spanning August through June, with positions available in the Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas. You will work onsite, providing vital assessments and guidance for students with mild to moderate disabilities, with a manageable caseload of approximately 60.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a current Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification
- Official university transcripts required prior to consideration
- Previous experience in a school psychology or related agency setting is preferred
- Ability to conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and communicate results effectively
- Strong knowledge of early identification and intervention procedures for academic, social, or emotional concerns
- Commitment to working full-time (35 hours per week) onsite (remote/virtual not available)
- Comfortable supporting a diverse K-12 student population
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement early intervention strategies for students facing challenges in school
- Conduct psychological assessments, including cognitive, academic, adaptive, and social-emotional evaluations
- Collaborate closely with education professionals, participating in regular meetings and ongoing professional development
- Clearly communicate evaluation findings to parents, teachers, and administrators to support individualized educational planning
- Ensure consistent adherence to special education policies and procedures across assigned buildings
- Address additional duties as assigned to support student success
