This full-time contract position runs from August 18th to June 4th, with the possibility of a slight extension should emergency days be needed.
You'll be working closely with another psychologist to manage a caseload of approximately 180 students, serving children from PreK through 8th grade. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and families, providing meaningful support while making a difference in young lives.
Your background includes:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for school psychology
- Compliance with all Illinois state requirements for School Psychologists
- Previous experience as a school psychologist (not open to new grads)
- A genuine passion for serving elementary and PreK-8th grade students
In this role you can expect to:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement intervention strategies, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs and services
- Deliver direct and indirect support for students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional well-being
- Work collaboratively with your fellow psychologist to most effectively serve your caseload
- Keep thorough, organized documentation and uphold confidentiality across all interactions
The schedule offers some flexibility, with hours from either 8:00am to 4:00pm or 7:30am to 3:30pm, totaling 35-37 hours per week.
