In this full-time position, you’ll play a key role supporting the PreK-8th grade population across elementary school settings. The assignment runs from August 18th to June 4th, with the possibility of an extension if emergency days arise.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate school psychologist endorsement
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educational teams and effectively support student needs
- Minimum one year’s experience as a school psychologist in a school setting
- Strong assessment, counseling, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with PreK-8th grade preferred
- Not accepting new graduates for this role; previous relevant experience required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychoeducational assessments, participate in team meetings, and provide recommendations for interventions and supports
- Manage a caseload of up to 180 students, shared with another experienced school psychologist
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote positive student outcomes
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and support special education eligibility processes
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to students across the PreK-8th grade spectrum
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere closely to district and state standards

- Full-time, 35-37 hours per week
- Schedule options: 8am-4pm or 7:30am-3:30pm
