Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Educational Psychology required
- Completion of at least one year of supervised internship under a certified school psychologist
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with proper endorsement in school psychology
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education law, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adaptable across elementary and secondary settings
- Commitment to cultural competency and supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to staff and families
- Develop and support implementation of evidence-based interventions
- Consult with teachers and families to promote student well-being and behavioral health
- Provide crisis intervention and participate in problem-solving teams
- Lead and contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and student-centered practices
- Deliver direct and indirect support to students, adapting services to varied needs across the district
