Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a school psychologist
- Background or strong interest in early childhood education
- Familiarity with Child Find evaluations and processes
- Experience delivering counseling and support services to preschool-aged children
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Child Find evaluations to support early identification and intervention efforts
- Provide counseling support to pre-K students, fostering social-emotional skill development
- Collaborate with early childhood teams to develop and implement effective strategies and plans for students’ needs
- Consult with families to communicate findings, develop goals, and promote positive outcomes for students
- Document assessments, interventions, and counseling in accordance with school and compliance guidelines
- Serve as a resource for teachers regarding students’ mental health and behavioral needs
