Elementary Middle School School Psychologist - Middlebury, Vermont

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with elementary, middle, and/or high school students
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychological assessments and intervention strategies
- Strong understanding of learning, behavioral, and social-emotional development in school-aged children and adolescents
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide culturally competent and sensitive support to diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to identify student learning and behavioral needs
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized learning or behavior plans
- Offer counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services as needed
- Assist in creating safe and fostering inclusive learning environments
- Support special education teams with eligibility determination and IEP development
- Deliver training and resources on mental health, behavior management, and effective instructional strategies to school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all practices
