Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Graduate degree (Ed.S., MA, or PhD) in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of evaluation techniques, counseling methods, and IEP/504 plan development
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, teachers, and families
- Proficient in behavioral intervention strategies and collaborative problem-solving
- Comfortable working onsite as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student needs
- Assist in crisis intervention, individual/group counseling, and social-emotional skill development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement individualized support plans
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations or modifications to maximize student engagement and success
- Keep thorough records and contribute to IEP/504 meetings
- Serve as a resource for positive behavioral supports and data-driven interventions
