Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Illinois
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting evaluations, assessments, and eligibility determinations
- Solid understanding of IEP process and special education law
- Excellent communication and consultation skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience in K-12 schools is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational assessments using a variety of tools
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective strategies for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Provide direct counseling or intervention services to students, as needed
- Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide staff training on relevant topics
- Document all services and maintain accurate student records
- Support a positive, inclusive school climate for diverse learners
