Key Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont School Psychologist license (active and in good standing)
- Prior experience identifying learning disabilities in children and adolescents
- Strong assessment/evaluation skills; comfortable handling 50-60 evaluations annually
- Adept at collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop supportive intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to effectively manage caseloads and timelines across several locations
Role Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to diagnose learning differences and inform programming
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide expert recommendations and intervention strategies to optimize student success
- Conduct group and individual counseling as needed
- Stay up-to-date with best practices, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Keep confidential and organized records of all assessments and interventions
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for students at all sites within the compact, accessible area
This full-time role (37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday) allows you to immerse yourself in a collaborative school community while positively impacting student lives every day. The onsite presence ensures strong relationships and consistency for both staff and students.
