School Psychologist | Franklin, Virginia
Make a lasting difference in students’ lives by providing direct support as a School Psychologist in a full-time, onsite contract position. This role, based at a school facility near Franklin, VA, will start as soon as possible and extend through the end of the school year, with strong potential for contract renewal for the following year.
You’ll collaborate with students, educators, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your expertise in assessment, intervention, and counseling will ensure students receive the support and resources they need to thrive academically and emotionally.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Experience working within a K-12 school environment preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and report writing skills
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with diverse teams
- Committed to supporting equity and inclusion
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Participate in eligibility, Individualized Education Program (IEP), and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Deliver individual and group counseling for students
- Develop behavior intervention plans and consult with staff on student concerns
- Support crisis intervention and response initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
