Virtual School Psychologist | Illinois
A full-time school psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year serving a student caseload of approximately 180 PreK through 8th grade children. This role supports elementary and middle school populations within Glenwood, IL and surrounding communities, offering telehealth services as part of the delivery model.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, interpreting psychological evaluations, and collaborating with educators and families to develop effective intervention strategies and individualized education plans. The position requires adherence to Illinois state requirements and holding a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in school psychology.
Schedule details:
- Start date: August 18, 2026
- End date: June 4, 2027 (subject to extension due to emergency days)
- Weekly hours: 35-37 hours
- Typical daily hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Illinois state certification and PEL in school psychology
- Solid prior experience preferred; new graduates will not be considered
- Demonstrated skills in telehealth service delivery
- Ability to manage a significant caseload and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
