Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility) for Nebraska
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Compassionate, student-centered professional approach
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students across all grade levels
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and fellow school psychologists to develop appropriate strategies to meet students’ academic and social/emotional needs
- Participate in IEP team meetings and support evidence-based interventions
- Provide counseling services to students as needed
- Maintain detailed and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Consult with classroom teachers on promoting positive behavioral supports
- Provide crisis intervention and recommend resources for students and families
- Adjust to an assigned caseload, determined prior to the academic year’s start
