Make an impact supporting students and educators in a dynamic school setting near West Columbia, SC. This full-time contract role offers an inspiring opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to foster positive change and advocate for students’ needs throughout the full school year, working 37.5 hours each week.
In this position, you will collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and administrators, providing expert psychological services that contribute to student success and well-being.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- State certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans
- Knowledge of current best practices for educational and behavioral interventions
- Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and participate in IEP and intervention planning, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making
- Provide direct support services to students individually or in groups, including counseling and skill development
- Consult with educators, parents, and other support professionals to design and implement evidence-based interventions
- Foster safe and positive learning environments by promoting effective social-emotional strategies
- Support crisis intervention and behavioral management plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with applicable policies and regulations
