This full-time, onsite role in the Denver area offers the opportunity to work with diverse caseloads and be a vital contributor to special education teams. The assignment begins July 31, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, providing group and individual counseling services, crisis management, and collaborative consultation across several school locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in school settings
- Demonstrated expertise in student assessment, report writing, and behavioral support
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills
- Adaptable, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Committed to cultural competency and working with students from diverse backgrounds
What You'll Do:
- Deliver direct services to special education students, including IEP-based mental health counseling—both one-on-one and in groups
- Conduct cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills assessments, interpret findings, and generate evaluation reports
- Develop targeted interventions and functional behavioral plans to address academic, social, and emotional needs
- Participate actively in IEP, MTSS, and behavioral health meetings, collaborating with families, school staff, and outside agencies
- Respond to and manage classroom and individual crisis situations, conduct threat and suicide risk assessments, and develop safety plans
- Provide psychoeducational services, professional development for staff, home/wellness visits, and support for students with Section 504 plans
