A fulfilling contract opportunity is available for an experienced professional interested in working on-site with students who have intensive behavioral and social/emotional needs. This role is based at a specialized program serving grades 6–12, focusing on students who require additional support to succeed in their academic and personal growth. The position is set to start as soon as possible and continues through late May of 2027, with full-time hours across the school week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider (SSP) License with endorsement as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Experience in educational settings supporting students with significant behavioral and emotional needs, preferably in middle or high school environments such as day treatment, facility placements, or similar specialized contexts
- Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting requirements
- Strong collaborative skills for partnering with educators and program staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct mental health services and support as specified in students’ IEPs
- Conduct IEP-related responsibilities, including evaluations, meetings, and development of student plans
- Lead interventions targeting social-emotional and behavioral growth
- Serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary team, sharing expertise and strategies for student success
- Support a caseload of up to 30 students, currently at 23, ensuring each receives personalized, compassionate care
