The assignment offers hands-on experience, delivering mental health services at Meridian Academy—a specialized program for students in grades 6-12 with significant behavioral and social-emotional needs. Qualifications:
- Current CO DOE SSP (Special Service Provider) License with School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement
- CDE authorization as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker (required)
- Experience working with middle and high school students exhibiting severe behavioral needs (facility placements, day treatment settings, etc.) is highly preferred
- Completion of district-required background check and fingerprint clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized mental health services to students per IEP
- Collaborate with program staff to support students’ social-emotional and behavioral growth
- Conduct evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and support IEP development
- Effectively manage a caseload (23-30 students) in a separate program setting
