Key Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification in the state
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Previous experience working with K-8th grade populations preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable providing onsite-only services (no virtual placements)
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret a variety of assessment tools
- Collaborate with teachers, administration, and parents to support individualized student plans
- Provide direct counseling and therapeutic support to students
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer expertise in eligibility determination and program planning
- Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral support when needed
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and social-emotional learning
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
