Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students across several schools as a School Psychologist for the remainder of the academic year. Based near Centralia, WA, this vital position serves a diverse student population at the elementary and high school levels, with the possibility to work with preschoolers if desired. The assignment runs from January 5th to June 12th, with possible extension for snow days.
Enjoy a balanced hybrid schedule: four days onsite supporting three different school sites and one day working from home each week. Your week will consist of 37.5 hours, with an option to extend to 40 hours by prior approval. You’ll manage a caseload that offers a student-to-psychologist ratio of approximately 1:1,000 and handle testing, including baseline initial evaluations (about 60 per year), re-evaluations, and referrals.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- School Psychologist certification with a valid WA State License
- Over 2 years of experience strongly preferred; confident new graduates will also be considered
- Familiarity with K-12 (preference for elementary and high school levels); preschool experience a plus
- Must provide a driver’s license and copy of Social Security Card for background check
- Comfortable with multi-site management and adaptable to a hybrid work model
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate with educators and staff on student referrals and support plans
- Maintain documentation and participate in re-evaluation processes
- Support diverse academic and social-emotional student needs
