School Psychologist - Chehalis, WA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and well-being in an engaging school environment this winter and spring. This position runs from January 5th to June 12th, with possible extra days added to accommodate any snow closures, and offers a 37.5-hour workweek (potentially up to 40 with prior approval). Enjoy a uniquely flexible hybrid schedule—spend four days onsite at a mix of elementary and high school locations, and one day working from home. Psychologists interested in working with preschool students may also have that option.
You’ll work across three sites, serving a manageable ratio—one psychologist per 1,000 students. Your primary focus will be on conducting initial evaluations, re-evaluations, handling referrals, and managing a dynamic caseload. The expected baseline is approximately 60 initial evaluations for a full academic year, plus additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current Washington State School Psychologist license.
- Eligible for fingerprinting record check via the OSI database.
- Valid driver’s license and copy of your Social Security card.
- At least two years of school-based experience is highly preferred; strong recent graduates will also be considered.
- Comfort working across elementary, some high school, and potentially preschool settings.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psycho-educational assessments.
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and reports.
- Provide insights for student support planning and intervention.
