School Psychologist - Ipswich, SD

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state license or certification as required for School Psychologists
- Previous experience in a K–12 educational setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of current assessment tools, intervention frameworks, and response-to-intervention (RTI) models
- Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing IEPs, and providing crisis intervention
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of multicultural, trauma-informed, and inclusive practices
- Commitment to ethical standards and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess student cognitive, behavioral, and socio-emotional functioning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct counseling services, consultation, and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in student support meetings and advocate for student needs
- Deliver training and resources to staff and families on topics such as mental health, academic support strategies, and positive behavior supports
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and district policies
