School Psychologist in Stillwater, MN
Step into a vital role supporting the well-being and success of K-8th grade students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity spans from August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027, offering 37.5 hours per week of meaningful work with both elementary and middle school caseloads. You’ll focus on a manageable group—approximately 25-35 elementary and 20-30 middle school students—across one building, ensuring deep and consistent support.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Providing one-on-one and small group counseling, as well as behavioral interventions
- Partnering closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student growth
- Assisting in crisis intervention, safety planning, and the development of positive behavioral supports
- Contributing to a collaborative and inclusive educational environment
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Minnesota School Psychologist License required
- Previous experience in a K-8 educational setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of special education laws, IEP processes, and educational assessments
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and with empathy
