This contract runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 32-37.5 hours per week. You’ll work districtwide in the beautiful Torrington and Winsted, CT areas, collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (state-required)
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Experience supporting K-12 students in educational settings
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and case management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
- Commitment to in-person service for the full contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students across all grade levels
- Deliver targeted interventions for social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 Plans
- Support crisis intervention and contribute to schoolwide prevention programs
- Communicate findings and recommendations to students, staff, and families with clarity and empathy
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
