School Psychologist | West Columbia, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school psychology from an accredited program
- Minimum two years’ experience as a school psychology intern or equivalent
- Current state certification as a School Psychologist
- Ability to conduct assessments, communicate results, and collaborate effectively with educators and families
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to operate computers, telephones, and standard office and assessment equipment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual psychoeducational assessments for special education eligibility
- Observe, analyze, and evaluate student behaviors and learning needs
- Communicate findings clearly to parents, teachers, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to implement supports and interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and student assessment teams
- Offer crisis intervention and help coordinate crisis management programs when needed
- Contribute to teacher and parent in-service training on academic, behavioral, and mental health strategies
- Complete comprehensive reports and required documentation
- Stay current with professional best practices, laws, and innovations
