School Psychologist in West Hartford, CT
Empower student success in a dynamic educational environment as a school-based psychologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, onsite opportunity supports a high school population and offers an engaging, impactful caseload. You’ll play a crucial role in evaluation administration and participate in PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reporting, collaborating closely with school staff to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. The contract is set to begin August 24, 2026, and continues through May 2027, with the potential for extension through the remainder of the school year.
Requirements:
- Valid and current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
- Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings, specifically at the high school level
- Strong background in administering evaluations and participating in PPT processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Availability for full-time onsite work (35 hours per week)
- Comfortable interviewing via Zoom
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for high school students
- Develop and present evaluation results in PPT meetings, actively contributing to students’ individualized plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement evidence-based interventions
- Provide consultation to support students’ emotional and behavioral needs within the school setting
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and district guidelines
