School Psychologist - Aurora, Illinois
Make an impact supporting high school students as a contract school psychologist for the upcoming academic year. In this onsite role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to promote students’ emotional, social, and academic growth. Enjoy an engaging schedule with 35 hours per week, working directly with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 high school students. Your expertise will play an essential part in empowering students from August 10, 2026, through May 14, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active IL PSYCH license required
- Previous experience with high school-aged students strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments, deliver counseling, and implement intervention strategies
- Strong consultative and communication skills for supporting teachers, parents, and administrators
- Able to maintain confidential records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assist in eligibility determinations
- Provide individual and group counseling to address student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective interventions
- Offer crisis intervention and behavioral support as situations arise
- Consult with faculty and staff to create positive learning environments
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
